Q2. What constitutes a “First Class” diploma or degree?

Q3. Is there negative marking in the written test?
A3. Yes. Each wrong answer incurs a 0.33 mark deduction.
Q4. How will I receive my admit card?
A4. Admit cards will be available under “Recruitment → Admit Card” on www.vssc.gov.in. Download using your Registration Number and Password. Carry a printed copy and valid photo ID to the exam center.
Q5. What is the refund policy for application fees?
A5. All applicants pay ₹750. After appearing in the written test:

Q7. Will there be any interview?
A7. No interview for Technical/Scientific Assistant or Library Assistant-A. Selection is based on written test and Skill/Trade Test (for Technical Assistants).
Q8. How is merit decided in case of a tie?
A8. If two candidates have equal marks in the written test, their academic performance in the qualifying exam (diploma/degree/PG) is used as a tie-breaker. If still tied, older candidate gets preference.
Q9. Are women candidates encouraged?
A9. Yes. VSSC actively strives for gender balance and encourages women to apply.
Q10. Can PwBD candidates apply for unreserved posts?
A10. Yes. PwBD candidates may apply for any post they are eligible for; they will be considered under general merit if the post is not reserved for PwBD.
