Date: 14th May 2025
Bharat Heavy Electricals Limited (BHEL), a premier public sector enterprise under the Ministry of Heavy Industries, has officially announced the cancellation of the Supervisor Trainee – Mechanical exam held on 11th April 2025 for candidates at the Xeon Technologies Examination Centre, Vizag City. This decision comes in response to confirmed irregularities uncovered during a thorough post-exam investigation.
BHEL received specific allegations related to
malpractice at one exam centre. In response, the organization promptly
initiated a detailed audit through its authorized agency, EdCIL (India) Limited,
which handled the Computer-Based Test (CBT) for various recruitment posts.
The audit log analysis conducted by EdCIL revealed
that the irregularities were exclusively confined to the Vizag-based
Xeon Technologies Centre, and importantly, these irregularities only
affected the Supervisor Trainee – Mechanical exam. No evidence of
misconduct was found in other centres, cities, or for other disciplines.
BHEL has officially annulled the examination
for the Supervisor Trainee – Mechanical post only at the affected
Vizag centre. As a corrective measure, a re-examination will be
conducted for all impacted candidates. This re-exam will be held with:
Note: All affected candidates will be individually notified about the revised exam schedule in the coming days.
